Objective
The research aimed to determine the feasibility of a new advisory platform for significant investors.
Challenge
A research and analytics firm reached out to us on behalf of an investment advisory firm that wanted to roll out a new platform for institutional investors and advisors so they could access financial instruments and products seamlessly.
Solution
-
We conducted in-depth interviews with senior executives and decision-makers in wealth management firms, financial institutions, banks, and AMCs. Our target audience included:
- Senior Investment Officers.
- Chief Investment Officers.
- Fund Managers.
- Portfolio Managers.
- VPs of investments and advisory services.
- Heads of investments and advisory.
-
Our goal was to understand the following:
- The shortcomings of their existing advisory platform
- Technological integration challenges faced by investors
- The platform's efficiency and ease of usage
- The availability of information based on levels of usage of the platform
- Any additional services or capabilities needed in the advisory platform
- Our expert moderators conducted in-depth 60-minute interviews to get feedback from decision-makers and senior leaders. We aimed to understand their requirements for an advisory platform, the current alternative solutions, and the new services or capabilities they would ideally want a platform to have. After collecting the information, we shared detailed transcripts and video recordings with the client.
Results
- The research generated deep insights into the changes needed in the advisory platforms and covered several need gaps. The study also helped develop new ideas on additional features and technological advancements that large institutional investors and executives require. The client came up with an exhaustive feature list for the tech platform and covered the shortcomings in the existing technology platform.
